Nelson currently ensures the timely training and delivery of health-related services to staff who provide care for over 3500 adults and children enrolled in the San Bernardino Preschool Services Department as various sites in this California county. As a Certified CPR instructor, he provides community life-saving practices to organizations and management teams. He is an Air Force veteran having served 12 Honorable years. Nelson holds a Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Health & Wellness Psychology, from Kaplan University and the University of the Rockies.
As an author/poet Nelson writes about the benefits of Positive Relational & Social Wellness. He published a children’s motivational book in English and Spanish entitled, “I Can.” He has written a stage play, acted, and is currently promoting his Self-Flourishing book entitled, “There’s Gold on Top of That Mountain.” This book creates awareness on how one can overcome life’s challenges with a positive mindset and become prosperous in any area of their life.
