Focusing on the application of ergonomic principles and tools, this course provides a comprehensive understanding of how to evaluate, quantify, and resolve risk factors to improve operation and reduce incidence of injury. Actual on-site workstations will be evaluated by students using tools provided during the course.
- Understand the importance of a team approach to creating an effective ergonomics program.
- Learn how to apply the evidence-based science of ergonomics when identifying and quantifying risk factors.
- Apply assessment tool (provided) to onsite workstations to perform a complete ergonomics evaluation including team brainstorming of resolutions, effectiveness to resolve concern and strategy to implement.
