Overview: Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) assessment is widely used for understanding individual differences as well as ways to work and interact with others. Based on individual responses, the MBTI instrument produces results to identify which of the sixteen, different personality type’s best describes a participant. Personality type represents preferences in four separate categories, with each category composed of two opposite poles. The four categories describe key areas that combine to form the basis of a participant’s personality. These personality preferences create self-awareness of leadership styles and behaviors, as well as how to best work with others. The MBTI is an invaluable tool for effective leadership.
Upon completion of the course, participants will:
- Experience the relationship a personality type can have on daily behavior, leadership style and team performance.
- Examine preferred behaviors that can be in-and-out-of-preference to increase ability to understand and work effectively with others.
- Comprehend the use of personality types created from the work of Carl G. Jung.
- Understand individual differences and uncover new ways of thinking about work and interactions with colleagues.
